Description
UNCUT. The story, based on Pierre Louys' turn-of-the-century novel, deals with a young schoolgirl's awakening to love. It takes place during her summer vacation at the home of a family friend, Melissa. The young girl, Bilitis, is shocked when she witnesses her friend and her husband making love, however Melissa encourages Bilitis to discover the aspect of love by seeing a young photographer, Lucas. When Lucas tries to make love to Bilitis she rebuffs him and runs to Melissa, who in comforting Bilitis finds herself responding to her kisses and embraces. Melissa tells Bilitis there must be nothing more between them. Bilitis discovers Melissa's husband is with another woman, so she decides to find another man for Melissa. She returns with Nikias, a rich young man who has loved too many too well, and both Melissa and he know they cannot have an affair. In the end Melissa and Lucas become lovers and Bilitis returns to her school realizing she is not yet ready for adulthood.

This is rare and EXTREMELY hard (if not impossible) to find, Hamilton is well known for his soft style and beautiful young women. This is a very special film indeed. Quite a few beautiful and ultra-soft lesbian love scenes.

Absolutely outstanding film. This is closer to art than it is to porn by a wide margin. Hamilton's photographic genius is transferred to film. The story is archetypal. Young girl confused about her sexuality (Bilitis) looks to older female (Melissa) for help, and ultimately her identity. She is spying on Melissa and is shocked by her somewhat animalistic sexual relationship with her male lover, as Bilitis sees sex as gentle, sensual, feminine. Later, Bilitis rebukes the advances of a young male admirer, and instead seeks love in the arms of Melissa. Bilitis is young, and beautiful and Melissa is annoyed at her spying so she initially rejects her youthful vigor, but eventually gives in and makes love to Bilitis. The rest of the plot is ancillary to their lesbian relationship, so I'll let you experience it for yourself. What Hamilton, and his excellent supporting cast has achieved here is nothing less than perfection. Everything looks 19th century, but the young women are so beautiful, you won't believe it, and the eroticism is quite subtle, but still titillating. There is more than a hint of young lesbianism in this film, and I have never seen it done so tastefully. This is truly an art film. The photography has to be seen to be believed. Soft lighting falling in just the right ways to accent each girls finer qualities, tasteful nudity, and sensual love scenes as opposed to sexual ones. Light, French music for the background score. If you are familiar with, and enjoy Hamilton’s' work, buy this video! If you do not like softcore erotica, this is not for you. This is a video you won't have to hide in your "special cabinet". It is truly an impressive story with incomparable camerawork, and dedicated to portraying soft, feminine beauty. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this video. There are some very nice lesbian love-scenes, including one with two teenage girls (legal age) near the beginning, besides the aforementioned relationship between Bilitis and Melissa. Most of the "action" is just kissing, and hugging/holding each other while softly stroking each others exquisite naked bodies, but that was more than enough to satisfy me. The rest is implied. You'll have to use your imagination in this one. Rating: Off the scale in terms of softcore lesbian erotica.
