This a magical movie from Viv Thomas. Six really enjoyable stories, some sad, some happy, with the last story truly joyous. Yes, the master has made another truly great movie. Each scene is beautifully constructed with a wonderful cast, all giving their very best in performances. The photography, screenplay and direction are all Viv Thomas, and Viv shows he is not only a great photographer but really knows how to tell a story. One of the two scenes I really loved is the Jo scene where she is the chief bridesmaid who seduces the bride. Clearly Jo and the bride have been lovers before, and Jo needs to say goodbye to her lover who is getting married. A beautiful scene, if somewhat sad. Jo’s performance is beyond praise as it is so good, and at scene’s end I felt really melancholy at these two having to part. This is probably why I liked the last scene so much, with Sandy trying to work out how to propose to her longtime girlfriend. When Sandy does propose and is accepted this is the most joyous of scenes. I loved it. All the other scenes are good, with Viv capturing in various aspects the joys and sadness of women who are lesbian. Each scene is so good I cannot think of a critical word to say, with beautiful music, really well constructed scenes, superb direction and a cast that clearly wanted to give their very best. I guess what I really liked was that the characters in this movie are three-dimensional people and not just beautiful women having sex, as you really feel for them and their situations. Put this with the Pink Velvet and Unfaithful series as amongst his very best. A really superb movie.

This is the most lipsticky/femme-femme video you can imagine (which _does not_ mean that it looks like something by Michael Ninn!). If this is the sort of thing you like, then you will like this. Technically it is hardcore, but at the very soft and gauzzy end. In fact the bit I liked best was when Sandra Shine was nuzzling Judit Nero in the neck while caressing her between the legs through her panties, which was entirely softcore (in the scene, the two of them make out in little black dresses, and then go down on each other in the front of a Merc - note to Viv: you cannot drive in the sort of shoes that Judit is wearing!). The acting and the script made me cringe a bit (it made me think of Girlfriends productions). I would also have appreciated fewer cuddly toys in the background in a couple of the scenes. The women involved are all fully grown up, this isn’t a ‘barely legal’ sort of production. In general this was a very nice and exceedingly pretty production.
Humble Opinion
I have not been a big fan of many of the most recent Viv Thomas offerings to come to American shores. The last movie by Viv that I wholeheartedly enjoyed was Secrets of the Suburbs. For me, Lesbian Encounters is a return to form for Viv Thomas. Lesbian Encounters is a film made up of six unconnected vignettes. The setup for each scene is simple but powerfully erotic (what I would call the "trademark" of Viv Thomas’ brilliance, his ability to project our erotic fantasies onscreen). Lucy Bell (one of Viv’s most enjoyable recent additions to his repertory company) is a babysitter for single mother Peaches. Peaches has come home from another frustrating attempt at dating, and Lucy sets out to comfort the "older" Peaches. This is a classic "Peaches" scene. Peaches’ explosive, shuddering orgasm with Lucy Bell is on par, I would say, with probably my favorite Peaches’ orgasm, Peaches with Henrietta in Pink Velvet 3. Lucy has already been "stirred up" from watching an erotic lesbian film that happened to be in Peaches’ DVD collection (Lucy’s earlier masturbation scene is one of the hottest I have ever watched, anywhere). Lucy softly caresses Peaches’ shoulders, but then impetuously grabs her face and deeply kisses her. Peaches, who had earlier slipped an undetected glance at the sexy Lucy, responds in spite of herself to young Lucy Bell’s hungry mouth. Peaches pulls away though, saying in her "fragile" English (that somehow adds to the passion and confusion of the moment) "I can’t do this, it’s not right!" Lucy slows it down, and begins to just kiss and nuzzle Peaches’ neck and shoulders. Peaches, who is already horny from the frustrating night, is panting and doesn’t try to stop Lucy. Soon enough, Peaches seeks out her young sitter’s mouth again, and abandons all caution. The sex that follows is just amazing, with young Lucy being fantastically aggressive with Peaches, and Peaches crying out at one point, "Oh God, I’ve needed this so much!" Then later, Peaches makes her young sitter, Lucy, cum incredibly hard with her own convulsive orgasm. Just an amazing scene. Jo is Angelika Black’s maid of honor, and today is Angelika’s wedding day. Angelika (who is another excellent new addition to the Viv team) is a nervous wreck when Jo arrives at her apartment. Jo mentions that it is her duty, as maid of honor, to calm Angelika down, and that she has had experience at doing that, and mentions Angelika’s first day of college. Angelika turns to Jo and laughs, "Yes, and I remember what you did to relax me!" The two go to Angelika’s bedroom to undress and try on their dresses. Both have on only panties when Angelika sits on the side of the bed, and Jo kneels in front of her to put on the thigh-high white stockings. Jo’s hand lingers on Angelika’s thigh, and then slowly traces Angelika’s leg. Angelika looks down at Jo. Angelika knows what is on Jo’s mind. "Jo, please. We cannot do this". But Angelika’s arms are at her side, she does nothing to stop Jo. Jo smiles at Angelika and continues to caress Angelika’s leg, and then softly pushes Angelika down onto the bed. Jo kisses Angelika’s body up to her neck, and then whispers to Angelika, as she reaches down to put her hand inside of Angelika’s panties, "Please, let me see how pretty you still are." Angelika moans, then says, "Jo, always no! Don’t..touch me!" But Angelika’s arms are still at her sides. Jo continues, intently, until she has made Angelika cum. Post coital, Angelika stares dazedly down at Jo. She perhaps still feels "innocent", having "done" nothing, but instead had everything "done to her". But now Jo lays on top of Angelika, and Angelika can’t help but grip Jo and kiss her hungrily. Then a short time later Jo sits up, straddles one of Angelika’s legs and grinds into her. If Angelika felt innocent before she can no longer feel innocent now. She pulls Jo into her and then sits up to grind harder into Jo. Finally, as if to seal the deal of mutual sin, Jo moves up and places her pussy onto Angelika’s open mouth. All innocence is gone, as Angelika eagerly feasts on Jo’s pussy. Vivien is excellent playing the slightly tipsy woman who is disgusted with her life- married to a man she no longer loves or respects, and having meaningless sex with countless men who come to her apartment after her husband has gone to work, something which Gina has noticed and which makes her concerned for her friend. Vivien is disgusted with herself, she feels like a slut and Viv has seemed to make her up to look a bit like one in this scene. Gina, trying to comfort her friend says at one point, "You know that I am always here for you. And do you know how much I love you?" Vivien looks sadly at her friend and quietly says, "You’re such a good friend to me." Gina responds, "And if you want, I can be so much more." What makes this scene so wonderful is that Vivien does not fall into Gina’s arms at this point. Instead she is startled, cautious, suspicious, and definitely losing her buzz. But Gina’s kisses are not like those of the men who have been coming to Vivien’s door. Gina’s kisses are soft, caring and tender, and they gradually break down Vivien’s resistance, and stir up her lust. The two women then stand up and kiss, full mouth and passionately. Gina then positions Vivien on the kitchen table and then kneels down in front of her. Vivien covers her sex with her hand, "Don’t do that. You’re my friend. I can’t..." Gina looks up at Vivien searchingly, "I want to, I love you. I want your happiness." A short time later, when tenderness has again turned to passion, Gina licks and fingers Vivien to a truly remarkably explosive orgasm. After a while Vivien, revived and happy, grabs her friend’s hand to continue the lovemaking in a more comfortable venue. A really memorable scene. Sandy has just given Cindy Hope, her longtime lover, an engagement ring. This leads to a scene of happy sex. No one is better than Sandy at showing how happy sex can turn into achingly hot sex, and she does it again here. And no one looks more amazing laying comfortably back, holding and grinding

I saw the Jo and Angelika scene at a friend’s, so I can only comment on that. First, to the above, I believe Jo said, "Please, let me see your pussy just one more time." Angelika’s acting is so atrocious, and at times she seemed to me to have a lack of interest. I just didn’t dig her. I did love Jo though. First, she’s a tiny bit thicker, which makes her that much hotter. Sadly, there’s less than a handful of these films. And she does some grinding in this film with an awesome above-camera angle that just makes this scene. It’s very special. Also, there’s a slow one-over of the contour of her body, and she’s glistening. Very sexy. I think this is the sexiest I have ever seen Jo (though she was a tad tan), and I’ve seen the majority of her films. Also, Jo really excels as the seducer. For me though, this scene was almost ruined by Angelika. She’s attractive enough, but she just didn’t seem there. For instance, there are some close-ups (which I don’t ever appreciate) and her tongue skills are kinda frustrating to watch. Also… I can be a little over-observant, and Jo sometimes does this thing which is not uncommon. When on top of a girl, she will grab under their thigh in an attempt to get them to put their legs around her, and Angelika didn’t get this memo. This could be my misinterpretation, but it’s like universal language right? It just made her seem not as into Jo as she could have been. Which is ridiculous, I mean it’s Jo. I only saw it once, so my assuming has a slight chance of being incorrect. There was music at the beginning, that was done well. It ended sort of abruptly, but it was timed nicely. This scene was well made from the behind the scenes standpoint. Angelika has a scorpion tattooed on her leg. Are they both Scorpios? I know Jo is. If so, then this could have been way freakier, cause Scorpios are the freakiest of them all. The hole in the stocking was annoying. It’s like, if that went down in real life, her wedding stocking, the girl would have lost it. I’m reading too much into porn, I know, but it’s fresh in my mind, and I’m a female, so there it is. But yeah, Jo is gorgeous.
