Phathead's review sums this one up nicely! Nevertheless, here's my two cents... The segment featuring Elle Macpherson and Kate Capshaw was incredible! Great set-up, and some surprisingly erotic sexual chemistry for two mainstream actresses! Only one of their encounters is particularly steamy (e.g. nudity), although there's lots of kissing between the two throughout the story, and the whole set-up is nothing short of fantastic! I especially enjoyed the casting! Elle Macpherson is so beautiful as the uptight lawyer, and Kate Capshaw was perfect as the free-spirited woman who seduces her! I only wish the entire 237-minutes followed those two! Instead, theirs was simply one of four segments of this video, each story lasting approximately an hour. In one of the other, non-lesbian-related segments, Peta Wilson makes an appearance. She's another one of my favorites, but unfortunately she does NOT have a sexual encounter with another woman on this video. But maybe that's just as well. My VCR surely couldn't take the strain!

I agree with the other reviews - excellent mainstream, erotic lesbian love story, with the beautiful Kate Capshaw and equally lovely Elle Macpherson. Kate still looks great (Steven Spielberg is a lucky man!) - she has a smoldering sexual quality about her. I just like her type - great full breasts, a swing in her walk, and gorgeous eyes. Of course, Elle is all supermodel and exquisite - great legs. I loved the way Kate smoother back Elle's hair as they were sitting on a couch, setting up for some great kissing that followed. After some prolonged kissing, Kate gets a little heated and says in a throaty whisper, "I want to make love with you." Wow!! Just close your eyes and replay the sound! The love scene pushes the envelope for "Blockbuster" type videos. The best for me was the glimpse of Kate's beautiful rear end as she lays on top of Elle. Although Elle's hand glides across it, I so desperately wanted to see that sexy bottom squeezed and even kissed (right Anon?)........aahhhh to dream. Just a great piece for mainstream, especially if, like me, you have an infatuation with Kate Capshaw! Enjoy.

Geez. If only the story w/ Elle & Kate could've gone on longer! I'm not complaining that hard since the very sight of these beauties making out is almost too much to handle. I loved Kates expressions before she would kiss Elle. Little things like that really add so much to a love scene.

Absolutely perfect. One of my all-time favorites here. Nice, well developed plot, strong characters, beautiful cinematography, stunning actresses - only thing missing is some hardcore strap-on action - just kidding. No, what you have here is Elle and Kate doing some serious flirting, dancing, dating, kissing, and finally into bed with each other. The buildup is almost too much to bear, and the kissing in this movie is beyond reproach. I don't even know where to begin, it's so good. For one thing, they are both quite beautiful, and the kisses are unrestrained as PH alluded to in his review. The bed scene is shot with soft lighting, and edited softcore style, but that doesn’t detract from it at all. The sound is clear, the hair, and makeup perfect, their clothes accent each other just right, and overall the scenes are just visually enjoyable in every way. Need more of this kind of production from Showtime, and others with the funding for this kind of talent. My one and only complaint is this is the only lesbian material in the whole movie, and there are some other very beautiful actresses besides these two.

I don’t know if this was a made for cable movie or a series, I’d never heard of it before I saw the DVD. I’d guess it was a series since it’s divided into four distinct episodes with the one constant being Stockard Channing’s character. The only episode with any lesbian content is the one with Elle McPherson and Kate Capshaw, I thought the storyline was good if a bit clichéd; uptight Elle discovers feelings and desires she never knew she had with the help of free spirited Kate. I thought it was a bit insulting to men and women alike that Elle’s turn towards women is partially motivated by a particularly bad blind date with a man. The attitude seems to be that men are such jerks they force women together, as if women don’t really merit any interest on their own. Anyway, on to the juicy parts. There’s a nice buildup to the relationship, and lots of sensuous kissing along the way. The bed scene is pretty routine, it isn’t very long and doesn’t show that much, plus there is loud singing over the lovemaking, which I didn’t care for. This episode reminded me a lot of “Desert Hearts”, from the plot to the characters to the love scene to the dialogue. I wouldn’t recommend this movie for it’s porn value, but it’s somewhat erotic and all the episodes are well written in a slightly overly clever sort of way. My favorite episode was actually the one with Camryn Manheim, which had nothing at all to do with sex. Three out of five stars.

A very good compilation of stories revolving around female-centric issues facing today's 'modern' woman. Only the first story " It Don't Mean A Thing if it Ain't Got That Swing" involves a lesbian relationship and it's a good one at that. Attractive Kate Capshaw and sexy Elle MacPherson hook up in a surprisingly good lesbian romance almost gleaned I thought from the pages of "Kissing Jessica Stein". However unlike Jessica Stein this story features some nice sexy kissing and a bedroom scene we actually get to see. Capshaw and MacPherson both very successful business professionals meet on a double blind date. Both have suppressed bi-sexual tendencies (but don't most woman?) that are brought front and center by their respective boorish dates and their instant mutual attraction for one another. Sensing their dates disinterest and in typical male fashion the guys devolve into a spiral of endless foolishness hoping to win the ladies over, which only cements their fate . Our ladies exchange phone numbers in the restroom and the rest is history as they say. Capshaw is much more at ease with her lesbian side and sort of moves things along. There’s a nice kissing scene after the first date but MacPherson is somewhat reticent about the situation and doesn’t quite match Capshaw's energy at this point. A dinner date at Capshaw's leads to some nice necking between the two on the couch but once again it is MacPherson who draws away. "I really wouldn't know what to do" proclaims MacPherson to a slightly annoyed Capshaw (wrong! I maintain most woman do know what to do with another woman but won't admit it). Obviously needing to do a little more to get MacPherson's juices flowing the gals share some intimate dancing at an avant-garde type of dance club and viola it's back to Capshaw's for some nice hungry, passionate kissing and then lesbian sex. The sex scene I thought paid a great deal of homage to the classic hotel scene in 'Desert Hearts' although we see what's going on we don't quite see everything although this probably owing much to the actresses desires. However I was quite pleased with it since I didn't really expect to see this much to begin with. I definitely recommend picky up a copy of this preferably a rental if you can find it , the overall purchase price is a bit steep just for this one scene.
who said that?
Elle Macphereson - yum. Very brief, but watching Elle Macphereson get seduced is extremely hot. If you prefer story-buildup and believability over explicitness, then this might be for you.
