With the first installment of the Art of Kissing, Viv Thomas showed he could throw a very simple concept out into the market and have the people just eat it up. It was a no-brainer, really. So, at the risk of pulling another no-brainer, Thomas decided to do something a little different with Art of Kissing 02: raise the passion and heat up a few notches. To do this in what is, in essence, a throwaway production, VT had to come up with pairings that would do the trick. I'm pleased to say that the pairings are out of this world and nothing is treated as a throwaway. The opening scene with Lisa and Katie is my idea of the perfect lesbian scene: two full-figured women enjoying the beauty of each other’s bodies. The sight of Lisa and Katie's performance is extraordinary and almost cannot be described. I always wondered what the lesbian scene in Russ Meyer’s "Beyond The Valley of the Dolls" would have been like had it been complete. There can be no doubt that Lisa and Katie's scene fits that bill nicely. Moving on, we get Penny Flame and Jo. For those, like me, who thought that Penny and Jo's scene in Sisters is unsatisfying and incomplete, not to worry: this deals all the goodies. Penny and Jo are enthusiastic in their scene. There is so much energy in these two, one wonders why they are not bouncing off the walls. This scene is a strong follow-up to Lisa and Katie's scene. Next, we get two scenes featuring the amazing Silvia Saint. Saint is still stunning and her scenes with Evelyn and Kylie and strong on the positives: lots of kissing, good energy, and patience. It really cannot get better than this. Finally, we have Henrietta and Nancy Bell. This one struck me as a little bit cooler than the preceding scenes, but for fans of Henrietta it more than satisfies. Now, to see Henrietta and Lisa... that one may be better left to Art of Kissing 03. In the end, this is a very strong release, and it shows VT Productions has found their footing. Brilliant work!

So this gets a five star with no buildup, hmmmm? Don't get me wrong, the sex in this is very hot. But no buildup. It goes right to sex; nothing should get a five star with no buildup.

The scene with Jo and Penny is one of the best things that has appeared this year, or any other year for that matter. The chemistry really is spectacular, to the extent that this disc is must-have for their (slightly less than) 30 minutes alone. Even if you deleted the Jo/Penny scene, this would still earn an easy five stars for, in descending order: the _extremely_ nice Lisa/Eve scene (which suffers only because of its unfortunate juxtaposition with Jo/Penny) and the Silva/Evelyn scene (which has a nice little epilogue where the two move on to the shower). Some reservations do start to set in with the other two scenes: Nancy struck me as a bit inert, leaving Henrietta to do work for two; same can be said of the final scene. Kylie, paired with Silvia, is very pretty to look at but more or less just seems to lie there. Should be right at the top of your list. Unfaithful will have to be very good to better it.

Recently I have wondered whether Viv Thomas could remain as the greatest exponent of the genre of lesbian erotica. After seeing Kathryn Annelle's work, I had the feeling that here was a real rival. Well, after seeing the Art of Kissing 2, no more, for this is (putting it very simply) really and truly superb. The sheer passion and intensity of the kissing has to be seen to believed. However, wait till you get to the lovemaking - that just simply blows you off the ground. My favorite scene is the first, with Eve Angel and Lisa (AKA Cameron Cruise). As Eve approaches her climax, I thought she was going to blast off out of the studio straight to the moon. For earth-shaking orgasms, this is definitely it. All the scenes are truly great, even the two with Silvia Saint, whom I normally don’t like. In her two, she is very good and more natural-looking. If you like lesbian erotica, this is an absolute no-arguments must. As one of the previous reviewers said, Unfaithful will have to be good to beat this. Still, I am hoping Viv Thomas can, though it will certainly take some doing.

The scene with Lisa and Eve is very strong, and one senses that they have a deep connection. I'd recommend the disc for that one scene, although, IMHO, the other scenes do not reach the same heights. The lack of scene introductions/setups was a little disappointing.

After the disappointment of In The Family, it's nice to see Viv Thomas come back with AK2. Definitely a 5-star film from start to finish, and sometimes it's nice to start a scene with two women all over each other, no “why are we here,” “I have feelings for you” discussions. Now, if the producers read these reviews (and I hope they do), now is the time to build a film around Lisa and Henrietta. Maybe long-time lovers tempted to sleep with other women, try it, but realize their love for each other. Multiple scenes of them together, of course. I am sure the producers could come up with something totally hot.

What else needs to be said other than “this is a Viv Thomas title!” When it stresses kissing, that makes it even more of a must-have for Viv and lesbian fans. You get even more bonuses in this one, with Lisa doing a fabulous make-out session with Eve Angel before the two go at it. This was easily the highlight for me on this disc, but you also get two scenes with Sylvia Saint, so that will make many fans rush for their credit cards! If you love kissing and pussy-eating, then do yourself a favor and pick this one up. It's worth it, and I can only hope there's more kissing in the next one, which I'm sure Viv will shoot! About the only thing left is perhaps to work in some lengthy ass-eating by the girls, and I've seen Viv shoot that, so there's some hope there, but this title is a must-have for any Viv collector.
Jenny is a little devil
Absolutely breathtaking. A kissing feast for the eyes and ears that must be experienced to be understood. The only scene I didn't like was Karen and Henrietta. They just didn't seem like Viv Thomas girls. All the other scenes are great, but the standout scene is Penny and Jo. The chemistry between them is curious - maybe it's a cultural difference, but Jo almost doesn't seem to know what to do with Penny's exuberance. I found it very fascinating, not to mention extremely titillating. This is easily one of my new favorites. Grade: A++ Recommended? Without question a video you want to have in your collection.

Finally, I get to see a newer Viv Thomas production. I liked #1 quite a bit and I found #2 even better, although it does have a lighting problem in some scenes, in my opinion. As the title implies, the focus is on kissing, with some oral and other activities as well. The kissing was generally very good. A good amount of time in each scene is devoted to kissing, which served as a slow buildup to the pussy-eating activities. That may be why I liked the movie as much as I did. It contained primarily two of my favorite g/g activities - kissing and cunnilingus - shot very well. Lisa and Eve really go at each other with the kissing out of the gate, and continue giving us a hot scene, probably the best on the disc. Of course, with Eve and Lisa in the hands of Viv Thomas, the likelihood of a strong scene resulting is about as good as the sun coming up tomorrow. A close second was the scene with Henrietta and Nancy Bell. Maybe it was because I had not seen them in a dozens of other scenes, but I also liked the way Henrietta took control of Nancy. All the scenes were fairly quiet, with only the noises of kissing and soft moans to be heard. I really liked that touch; it seemed very natural. Another nice touch during some of the scenes was staying with a lengthy shot, maybe a couple minutes or so, as the women approached climax. The weakest scene was between Silvia Saint (who makes two appearances) and Kylie. I found the scene to be unfocused and lacking on oral. Since I am a big fan of all things oral, I didn’t care much for the scene. It is a shame, because I find Kylie to be extremely sexy. I liked The Art of Kissing 2 a lot, but it was brought down a notch by the lighting in three of the scenes. The Jo/Penny, Silvia/Evelyn, and Silvia/Kylie scenes all suffered from bad lighting. The scenes looked to be mostly naturally lit, which is fine, but I have viewed scenes with natural lighting that were not plagued by the shadows in this movie. I really dislike shadows obscuring the action. That said, the lighting was not terrible, it was just noticeable where it should not have been. TAOK 2 was very enjoyable, and I hope there will be a #3.

I'll keep this short. It's a good movie. The first two scenes as mentioned are great and the Henrietta scene is also very good. The only let down I see in this is Sylvia Saint having 2 scenes, for even though she’s very hot she does not convey the same passion as the other scenes. It's more gentle kissing and I want to see mad passion damn it! Is this five star material? I guess so, though my first VT movie was PV3 which is a very high standard to judge movies by. I think it’s still their best g/g movie.

There are a lot of glowing reviews here. Mine is not, and it's not because I want to be a contrarian. In my opinion, this film is awful because the women do not seem into it. It's very mechanical. The only exception is the Lisa scene, although the effort there seemed lacking as well, at least for her. I guess it just seemed like the women had already done several sex scenes that day and they had to film this one too and just said, "Man, that's enough, let's get this over with. I'm tired." Although I had high hopes, I was very disappointed. I'm going to try the Peaches film next and hope it's better. I'm sad to say I really didn't like this one.

This would get 5 stars, except that there is no seduction or build-up. I have this one and #1, and I’d be much happier with just two minutes of a build-up to what’s going on (with both titles).

I can’t imagine a better film than this...and I’ve got a pretty good imagination. It took me years to stumble upon it. After seeing the numerous stills, I knew it was THE ONE for me (and my wife). She has no use for the grotesqueness of man-on-woman porn. I’ve never cared much for it myself. Sort of like going to an amusement park and watching other guys ride the rollercoaster. However, I do love naked women. To my mind, the only thing beautiful enough to adorn a woman’s body is another woman’s body. All the bodies in this video are so outstanding even my wife gets off on them. Firm but not too skinny, with hues ranging from fair to tanned. No obvious fake-bake orange spray-on tans. Not too many tattoos. The scenes provide a little warm up before the eating out and scissoring starts. I don’t care for a lot of chit-chat. The lovemaking is engaging, but you can tell they’re doing it for a camera and not entirely for each other. What surprised me about this video is the high-quality picture. I like to freeze the frame every now and then to study the breathtaking interplay of curves and shadows. Gorgeous legs wrapped around a taught arse. Warm breast against breast. I never tire of it. As for the scenes, one, two and five are a notch above. Scene three has an abrupt shower segment. In scene four, I found myself wishing Henrietta would dominate Nancy a bit more given her size advantage. Scene two is the most arousing and Jo is a star-spangled knockout. Scene five leaves you wanting more...and wishing you were there. One of the gals (sorry, forget which) has one of the roundest arses I have ever seen! All in all, it’s a damn good time and one that might just inspire your lady to put on a show for you one night with the single redhead down the street.
