Fan In The UK
So what do you want from Viv Thomas? The world!? Well, maybe you can get the world, because VT delivers another pretty nice package. No, it's not as cerebral as Unfaithful, or as romantically inclined as Butterfly and PV, but it does deliver the simple goods: hot women having great lesbian sex. There's Peaches, Nelly, Zafira, Eve, Stella... this one is a buffet of eye candy. So, while you're waiting for Sirens and whatever high-concept work comes out of the VT studio, enjoy this sweet, sweet slice of heaven.

If there is a girl-girl movie heaven, this must be it. As the "Fan in the UK" mentioned, there is nothing particularly new about this movie. It is just seven scenes of incredibly beautiful women having searingly hot lesbian sex. Sure, Viv Thomas has done this type of film before, and extremely well. This is certainly no exception, and, in fact, it is an improvement on previous efforts such as the Art of Kissing 1 and 2 and Girl on Girl 1 and 2. Beautifully filmed, with just the right sets, the models are really into it as is the cameraman, as each moment of each magnificent moment of lovemaking is captured. During the Peaches/Zafira scene, I thought the film had reached the level of poetry in motion, so beautiful and passionate was it. To say which is my favorite scene is impossible, so superb was each. However, this movie certainly converted me to a being a Nellie fan. She is in two scenes, and really excels herself as one of the best new performers in girl-girl movies. As I have indicated, the Peaches/Zafira scene was magic, but, then, I am a confirmed Peaches fan. However, the other scenes were all superb. In my mind, faultless. My only problem with this is that, by being called Hot Slots 1, it seems there is a Hot Slots 2 to come. Can I survive the excitement of another such movie? All in all, a movie not to missed under any circumstances. How do you keep on doing it, Viv Thomas?

Viv has a problem, which is that he raises the bar so high in his ambitious stuff that his other “two girls on a bed” material is starting to look a bit pale in comparison. I watched part of this alongside (the spectacularly good) In the Family, and my reaction was “ho hum.” However, I also watched part after getting fed up with a run-of-the-mill “all-sex” commercial vid, and when it started up in the middle of Nellie's second scene, the contrast was _dramatically_ in its favour. So, measured against commercial “two girls on a bed” stuff, this is a decent five star disc, but by Viv's own standards, is it mid-range.
