Over the years I’ve gotten tired of the cookie-cutter videos that are put out by the mainstream adult companies. It’s refreshing to see erotica that puts passion and chemistry over flashy, repetitive, and often distracting production tricks. Three such companies I’ve discovered over the years are Girlfriends Films, Viv Thomas, and now Triangle Films. Triangle Films was created by director and cameraperson Kathryn Annelle to produce DVDs that are, as the company’s slogan says, “Created By A Woman For Women.” Kathryn Annelle was both a director and cameraperson for many of Girlfriends Films releases. But her work on this disc shows a strong influence by the works of European director Viv Thomas. Each of the five scenes on this disc is filled with touching, rubbing, oral sex, and lots of kissing. The attractive women are passionate together, and some even appear have true chemistry. All this combined with excellent camerawork and editing makes for a highly enjoyable first effort. The scenes include: Ariel X and Tobi Pacific come home after an afternoon of shopping. They start modeling a couple of the outfits they bought. But soon they’re getting each other naked and enjoying an afternoon of passionate lovemaking. Holly Wellin and Christie Lee are arguing over Holly’s flirting with another girl at the party they just left. Holly’s loving apology leads to some hot makeup sex! Naomi has invited her email pal Rita Faltoyano to spend the weekend with her. After getting her home, they go straight to the bedroom and get to know each other intimately. Jordana James meets Kelly Kline for a job interview. Kelly is so impressed with Jordana that she ends up seducing her. Not that Jordana puts up much resistance! Emilianna and Daisy Layne are lovers meeting with Miko Sins, who’s working on their taxes. At one point in the meeting, Miko confesses to recently breaking up with her lover. They move the meeting to the living room where Emilianna and Daisy help her get over the pain. Miko returns the favor with some interesting accounting techniques. This DVD also includes a few Special Features: A very sexy trailer for Triangle Films next release, “Lesbian Tutors.” Judging by this preview, this should be one very hot DVD! Some sexy production stills of the cast. And don’t forget to check out Emilianna’s interviews with Ariel X, Tobi Pacific, Rita Faltoyano, and Naomi. It’s interesting to hear what they had to say about working for Triangle Films and Kathryn Annelle. This DVD may have been made with women in mind, but I feel any man that enjoys girl/girl sex will find it very enjoyable. Fans of the Kathryn Annelle’s past work for Girlfriends Films and the works of Viv Thomas will also enjoy this disc very much.

Well, after the first two scenes of this production, I thought "America may finally have found its Viv Thomas". The scenes are full of chemistry and what appears to be genuine passion. The women are beautiful and having a good time without that sense of coercion so often present in "the business". Triangle films looks to be everything Girlfriends Films could be, but have not been recently. I haven't watched all of Intimate Invitation, but based on the first three scenes, Triangle Films will be the company to watch this year.

It was a good first offering, but still does not compare to the early movies from Girlfriends Films. This movie, just like ALL of the current Girlfriends films, uses established porn actresses such as Christie Lee, who has made dozens and dozens of films, as have Rita Faltoyano and Naomi. They still go through the motions like it’s another gig. Girlfriends Films has already lost its way, and if this company truly wants to make it they will go with lesser-known actresses who can at least make the acting more believable. The movie wasn't bad, but it could be a lot better and more believable.

"Intimate Invitations" is a refreshing break from your run-of-the-mill all girl adult video. There is no "hurry up" factor to this production. There is no, “hurry up, you have two minutes of this position, three minutes of that position, fake an orgasm and end the scene. "Intimate Invitations" has none of this. The women are beautiful and enjoy each other. There is a very real feel to this video. They seem into everything they do with each other, whether its kissing, touching, rubbing, or the oral sex. This video gives you the feel that you are in the room with the women. They don't have to work for the camera. Instead, the camera works to captures the moments of women enjoying women. The way it should be. Kathryn Annelle's Triangle Films is the production company of the future. Other reviewers are comparing Triangle Films to companies such as Viv Thomas and Girlfriends Films. Both are great companies. I think Triangle Films will take production to the next level. Having a producer that has been a camera operator has a huge positive effect on productions. Like companies today trying to be like Viv Thomas and Girlfriends Films, I see companies in the future trying to be like Triangle Films. All my best to Kathryn Annelle and Triangle Films.

I sometimes wonder what the criteria are for a 5-star lesbian flick. It all depends on taste. I agree that buildup and kissing are important. For me, there are also other things that are important. I (and maybe a lot of other customers) like the more nasty lesbian sex including spitting, ass-licking, squirting, high heels, threesomes, etc. I see most of the five-star lesbian flicks are the amateur kind of movies with kissing and barefoot girls. This one is such a movie, and though the girls are cute, it isn't a movie for me.

Intimate Invitation is unlike any other all girl movie I have ever seen. From the very inviting box cover, to the sensual music involved in this film, this director is more than likely going to turn the heads of many feature directors.

Wow, is all that I can say. Most of the scenes (except for the finale, but I'm not a fan of multiple-person interludes) were good to mediocre (Rita/Naomi). Interestingly, there are a number of heterosexual erotic performers in this one, which might account for some of the flatness. But the scene with Christie Lee and Holly Wellin was just spectacular. Ms. Lee has very strong dom tendencies, and they do show themselves here, to delightful effect. I was floored. Am looking forward to the next offering from Triangle.

This is, without doubt, one of the best pieces of lesbian erotica ever released. The girls are superb, the sex is so real, the girls clearly look like they are really enjoying it, and the filming is truly spot on. The director alone gets five stars from me for the superb presentation and filming of this, what I am sure will be classic. I really like Viv Thomas, but this is close to or as good as the master of lesbian erotica.

As with the second release, this film is one of the finest additions to lesbian porn to come down the track in a long time. Purely top-notch stuff, from the girls, to... just about everything. I can't recommend them highly enough.
Humble Opinion
I want to point out some positives and negatives that I found with this film. Most of the positives have already been pointed out here. The girls are gorgeous, and the director captures them beautifully with her camera. Two of my favorites are Naomi and Holly Wellin, girls who have thin, firm bodies and tanned skin which glistens with their sweat. And I thought that Ariel X was equally beautiful as well, with her black hair that offsets nicely her pale white skin. One moment that particularly stood out for me was Ariel X being fingered to orgasm several different times by the young redhead Tobi Pacific. Another time was toward the end of Naomi and Rita Faltoyano's scene, when Rita, sitting up, hugs Naomi as she gets herself off by rubbing herself against Rita's leg. Now, for the negatives: I thought that the Lezlove reviewer was right about the set-ups needing work. This was particularly true for the scene with Christie Lee and Holly Wellin. But my main problem was that it felt too much like a mainstream American porn movie. I think it has to do with the scenes feeling rushed to me. Even though the scenes go on for a good half hour apiece, I thought that there was too much movement going on in the scenes. I remember someone writing once that Viv Thomas had to tell his American performers to slow down, and I would suggest that the director do the same here. The girls were shifting positions too often, and the camera was moving too much as well, in my opinion. Both things spoiled some of the naturalness that I think the director was going for. The bottom line is that I would certainly buy another DVD from Triangle Films. I think that their hearts are in a good place and they are heading in the right direction.

I just finished watching this film, and it is definitely 5 stars. Finally, a woman making all-girl videos for women too! I hope to see more women like Kathryn Annelle in the future. Abby Winters and Girlfriends Films have definitely started to influence more women to take up the director’s chair. More all-girl films for real lesbian women! Keep up the kissing, I loved the scene with Christie Lee and Holly Wellin, and more tribbing, too! French Kiss!

An above average film with some good qualities but, in the end, it felt like the whole was less than the sum of the parts. Something was missing, and despite watching this film twice to make sure I was being fair on it, I just couldn’t see what all the hype was about. I appreciate the effort put into telling a story in each scene. However, only in two of the scenes (two and three) did the story really add anything to the sex. In the others, it just seemed like a waste of time. The production values are adequate, but nothing special. Perhaps I was fooled by the glam cover and the letterbox format into thinking this would be a little less amateurish than what I got. The camerawork is okay, but not always very smooth. The camera will be on a medium shot, the girls will move out of frame, and the camera will jerk over to follow them. When you become aware of things like camerawork and framing, it takes you out of the scene. But what really takes you out of the scene is off-camera sneezes and talking, which occur at least once or twice. Why go to all the effort of creating stories if you aren’t going to edit out those mood-ruining interruptions? One obvious problem is that a few of the women belong to the “over the top” school of acting. The fake moaning and gasping starts as soon as the women get within one foot of each other. There are some brief intense scenes that look like they should have been genuinely passionate, but because the performers have been hamming it up since the start, you don’t believe they are really enjoying it. Also, as another reviewer stated, the women needed to slow down. The women are all fairly attractive in a girl-next-door sort of way. The only one who really stood out for me was Naomi in scene three, a lithe, athletic woman with a gorgeous ass. Her partner in that scene can’t stop rubbing her hands all over Naomi’s body, and I don’t blame her. Unfortunately, Naomi is one of the worst offenders in the fake moaning department. It sounds like I hated this movie, but I didn’t. There is some great kissing, and the scenes feel very naturalistic. It’s a solid effort that’s at least one step above most mainstream films, but also at least a step or two below either Viv Thomas or Girlfriends Films. The problem is, I don’t think they really know what kind of film they want to be making – naturalistic or glamorous. At times it feels like they kept the worst aspects of mainstream films (fake moaning and rushed scenes) while throwing out the best (gorgeous women and high production values). Girlfriends Films has shown that you don’t need supermodels and a high budget to film naturalistic, intense movies. I hope Triangle Films finds its path. Women – 3/5

Overall, this is a very good video. Kathryn Annelle is to be applauded for casting incredibly pretty women with flawless bodies who seem to enjoy being with each other. And her production values are, for the most part, excellent. On the negative side, the setups definitely need work. They're not seductive or even interesting. In three of the scenes it's obvious that the girls are already lesbian, and because of that there's no fantasy element whatsoever. Here's my take on the five scenes: 1) Ariel X and Tobi Pacific - Both girls return from a shopping trip and want to try on their sexy outfits. I liked the way Ariel couldn't keep her hands off of Tobi's cute butt. That was nice. I also liked the way both girls made a good effort to appear fresh and natural despite the hokey setup idea. On the other hand, I didn't like the way Ariel lost interest in Tobi's pretty behind after removing her clothing. Grade: B- 2) Christie Lee and Holly Wellin - The girls are fighting because one accuses the other of flirting with another girl. She denies it. "Please forgive me." A stupid, silly setup. Neither girl takes control. They have I-do-you-then-you-do-me sex. Both girls are young and fresh and beautiful, but the writing for this scene was stale and unimaginative. Grade: B- 3) Rita Faltoyano and Naomi - Naomi picks up Hungarian Rita at the airport and brings her home. Apparently they met having lesbian sex chat on the internet. Not erotic or seductive. Rita asks, "You're happy I'm here?" Then they start touching and kissing. I liked the leg and body caressing, and I ESPECIALLY liked it when Rita turns Naomi onto her stomach and then lovingly kisses and licks the brunette's gorgeous round behind! It was the best part of this scene! Grade: A- 4) Jordana James and Kelly Kline - Two young, very pretty girls! I have really liked Kelly Kline in past videos, particularly WSW 20 where she's paired with Emilianna (see next scene). In this one, Kelly is looking to hire an assistant to help her take care of her horses, and pretty, very feminine Jordana applies. This was a GREAT potential setup, especially had Kelly been a bit more dominant. I liked the way she caressed the other girl to start things off, but she fails to take control of her and, in the end, both girls simply take turns doing each other, ignoring each other's beautiful derrieres in the process. Grade: B- 5) Emilianna, Daisy Layne, and Miko Sins - Two blonde bimbos meet with their pretty Oriental accountant, who's doing their taxes. Miko has just broken up with her girlfriend, so invites the two blondes to have sex with her. Come on, Kathryn! You can write better seductions than that! Again, nobody takes control, which is a shame because I think Miko would make an excellent dom! Still, some of the ensuing three-way was pretty hot nonetheless, especially the spanking and fondling. Grade: B This one deserves the five stars, but only just barely! If Kathryn Annelle could add some sub/dom erotic fantasy seductions to her scripts, Triangle Films would take off! Hint, hint...

Overall, I found this DVD pretty disappointing. Triangle Films definitely has the right idea, but the execution is a bit lacking. To elaborate, I liked the emphasis on trib, kissing, and foreplay. I also liked the looks of most of the women. Tobi Pacific was a particular standout, with her pale skin, freckles, and cute red bush. The scenes just generally lacked heat. I think this outfit definitely has promise, and I will check out their future releases.

Five stars? Only if you stop after the third scene. The fourth was mediocre at best. Jordana James was fine: a bit young, but cute, eager to please, and very responsive. Kelly Kline, however, should try another line of work. Really, girl, if you can’t kiss like an adult, don’t get in front of the camera. I don’t know about Phathead and his grandmother, but at thirteen I was doing better than Kelly. Everyone was! Moreover, she shows no greater interest in the rest of Jordana’s body. So, why is she making lesbian erotica? I fault the director, or whoever does the casting. Someone surely should know better. As for the concluding threesome, others have liked it, but again I agree with Phathead. It’s an outright dud. Emilianna is too silly and pornstar-ish for my taste, but she and Daisy Layne might have done all right by themselves. The addition of Nico Sins, however, with her weirdly matter-of-fact tone and un-erotic manner, is just too big an obstacle. She says that her own girlfriend finds her inadequate in bed. The other two should have paid attention. That girlfriend was right. Thankfully, scenes one through three were top-notch: attractive women, clearly into one another, and no problem showing it. The obvious passion and heat, especially in the first and third scenes, are breathtaking. Unlike at least one other reviewer, I saw nothing false or exaggerated. If, in fact, any of these women are professional or mainstream hetero porn stars, there’s no sign of it here. They neither look nor interact like anything other than genuine, real-world lovers. (Which, I think, indicates who’s to blame for the poor quality of mainstream fare. Not the girls themselves; most of them can do just fine if they're left to themselves. The problem is the persistence and pervasiveness of established porno conventions that oblige them to dress and behave like cheap whores for the benefit of an old-fashioned male audience. And surely it’s the producers and directors with an eye on that audience who compel the girls to follow those outmoded and, frankly, degrading conventions. End of rant.) Technical note: sets, lighting, and camerawork all generally good. But on at least two occasions the director’s voice is clearly audible giving the girls instructions. Elsewhere we hear her sneeze, loudly! Come on, people! There’s no excuse for this, none! Yet it happens all too often. Even experienced crews do it. Why? Is there no editing process? Doesn’t anyone review the product before it’s released? Isn’t the director embarrassed? Doesn’t she care? I mean, why take all the trouble with casting, equipment, sets, lighting, etc, then commit such a gross and grossly amateurish faux pas? Kathryn Annelle has a fine future, if she learns what the delete button on her editing console is for. (End of second rant.)

Everything great about this DVD has been pointed out. WOW! I always hoped that some day, someone would make a video like this. A few came very close, but I began to doubt it was ever going to happen. WOW! The director's words and thoughts on the Lezlove forums definitely intrigued me. The box cover and reviews looked and sounded good, but so many times I've purchased tapes and DVDs based on "pretty" box covers and glowing reviews, only to be disappointed. Whew! My only disappointment is that I waited so long to buy it. I am going to buy every Triangle Films release from now on, regardless of what anyone else says about it. Thank you for an incredibly beautiful video, Triangle. Fresh, natural, beautiful, erotic, cute, hot, sublime, raw, yummy. I really enjoyed scene two with Holly Wellin and Christie Lee. I can't say that every scene is great, because I'm beginning to agree with Phathead about Kelly Kline. Just about every scene is great. Triangle seems to highlight the best part of each girl's personality and looks. Splendid performances by just about the whole cast.

Okay, this is only my second foray into the Triangle Films catalogue, and I must say I really enjoyed it. The first scene started it off. The only way this scene could have been better was to have the scene take place WHILE they were shopping. Both ladies are great to look at, and the action was exciting. The second scene was actually my favorite. I love watching a sexy lady cum so hard that her body betrays her absolute enjoyment. When her legs would not stay still while she was cumming, eventually lifting into the air... mmmmmm... definitely made me want to be a lesbian (oops, said that with my outdoor voice). It must have been amazing to be in that room to watch that action. Naomi and her e-mail pal Rita was pretty good. Naomi seems to have a very sensitive body when she is sexually stimulated, and her first orgasm was quite incredible (her face was so red afterward it made me glad I could rewind the action to watch it again). Now, Jordana and Kelly was the best scene for story. A job interview turns into a lesbian seduction; although Jordana did not need much convincing (thank goodness). To be honest, if Kelly had sucked on Jordana's clit even for a few moments, I would have made this my favorite scene. But she made up for it when Jordana made her cum, followed by a sensitive Kelly telling Jordana to stop touching. I am a big fan of lesbian threesomes - they hold a lot of possibilities. The idea of a lesbian couple tag-teaming another woman is quite an exciting thought. While this one had all three working on each other, I must say that Daisy Layne steals the show as the most assertive when it comes to eating box lunches, while Emilianna definitely cums the best. My personal favorite of the three has to be Daisy - her look, her on-camera presence. Someone who is definitely worth watching. I think one of the reasons I really like Kathryn Annelle and Triangle Films is because the girls are “real,” not enhancement surgery to make the whole scene fake. I am going against the stream here by not being gushy about this film, but I don’t see it. The girls aren't amateur-like at all, just go through the motions, speak the mainstream trash talk, and fill their time for payday. That is what we get most today in lesbo porn, and that is this one as well.

Toby Pacific, the redhead shown in vidcaps 1 - 3, is one of the prettiest women I’ve ever seen, from her flowing red hair to her dainty little toes. Her partner, Ariel X, is also very attractive, and together they are in the best scene of this movie. There’s nothing really unique about it, it’s just a well-done lesbian scene with lots of sweet kissing and foreplay. One of my favorite moments was when Toby kissed Ariel’s perfectly round panty-clad bottom with her delicate lips. Exquisite. The next two scenes - Holly and Christie (vidcaps 4 and 5) and Naomi and Rita (vidcap 6) were also very good, if not especially original. Attractive women engaging in sensuous and enthusiastic sex. Along with many others, I just don’t like Kelly Kline (vidcap 7). She’s cute and has a nice personality, but she kisses like a paralyzed fish and simply doesn’t seem to enjoy what she’s doing very much. The threesome had the feeling of a playful romp and started with a lot of kissing, breast-sucking, and other foreplay, but ended up being too crude and raw with lots of crotch shots and so on.
