If you have seen Mike Quasar’s Lesbian Swingers this is the same plot. Mike Quasar however wins hands down with his film as it does not get bogged down by an over talkative script which at the start goes on forever and is boring. Once they make it to scene one with Jessie Andrews and Georgia Jones it improves. These two are very good together and this is a memorable scene.
The plot of the first two scenes has couples Dana Deamond/Georgia Jones and Jessie Andrews/Jodi Taylor meeting at a therapist to sort out their emotional problems by swinging. Georgia scores Jessie while Jodi unfortunately scores Dana for one of the worst scenes I have seen Girlfriends inflict on people. It is toys galore with Dana unable to shut up. Truly dreadful.
In true Girlfriends style it is from the abysmal to the sublime with scene three with girlfriends Natalia Starr and Brooklyn Chase having three way at the therapist’s house with Lilly Evans. So good is this Lilly goes home with Natalia and Brooklyn leaving a dumfounded therapist. A truly superb three way.
Scene four is the Girlfriends heaven of good scenes with Veruca James and Jeanne Marie as oppressed partners finding solace and pleasure in each other. While both are good Veruca really impressed me with her superb performance as the woman who married young realizing there a lot of life she has missed.
All in all there is very much more in this movie that is good to what is bad. Despite one truly terrible scene I would recommend this for the three other scenes are girlfriends at their best.
