It seems I am one of the first people to have the opportunity to review this so you're all probably wondering how does it compare to the legendary first volume? Well I am pleased to announce volume 2 is another fine example of lesbian erotica, as usual with Viv Thomas releases Pink Velvet 2 has stunning girls, slow unhurried lovemaking and ample scenes of proper kissing. It also helps that the gorgeous Jo and Ella return from volume 1 and it is the scenes with Ella in particular that have the best scenes in volume 2. Pink Velvet 1 is definitely the better of the two releases for two reasons. Firstly the delicious younger/older pairing of Jo and Lisa from Pink Velvet 1 is repeated again in volume 2, this time with Ella and Anoushka and it doesn't have the same spark mainly because I didn't find Anoushka that attractive. All of the girls in Pink Velvet 2 are stunningly attractive but Anoushka is not quite at that level. Lisa from volume 1 was gorgeous and her scenes with Jo had a wonderfully delicate and innocent nature that made their lovemaking just amazing. The second reason is that the setup was better in volume 1. Jo joining an all-girls house in Budapest and subsequently falling for the older Lisa and the other girls engaging in lots of lesbian passion was a perfect setup. Volume 2 continues the story but lacks the original spark that made Pink Velvet 1 so different. For example, the location is now Portugal and on occasion the scenes feel as if they could be from one of Sandy’s Viv Thomas releases or even Searching For Silvia. The best scene involves Ella and Peaches, the two are very playful together before kissing passionately and they are a very natural pairing. As I said earlier Ella is the real star of Pink Velvet 2 and every time you see her she is constantly on the verge of wanting to make out with any woman she can and she is so cute in these scenes that you just can’t resist her! In summing up then, you folks are in for a treat when you do get to see this, I still prefer volume 1 but Pink Velvet 2 has much to recommend and the great news is that at the end we are promised a third and final volume of this Pink Velvet series. P.S. to those at Viv Thomas, please give Ella her own series. They release films starring Jo and previous to that Sandy and Sammy-Jane but for me Ella deserves something of her own. She is quite simply the cutest, naughtiest, most delicious performer of lesbian erotica at the moment and all of the plaudits from Pink Velvet 2 are down to her. Great work once again, Viv Thomas!

Just received my copy of PV2 and, what else can I say, it's brilliant. I think it is the second best lesbian video of all-time, behind only the original. And I say that even though I think the sex scenes in PV2, on the whole, are better than in PV. PV2 scenes featured better kissing, anal play (the anal licking in the Jo-Ella scene is unbelievably good) and seemed longer. Peaches and Vera were great additions, Jo was amazing (as always) and Ella really shined. This was her best performance to date -- especially when she was on the prowl, seducing everything in sight. She is the MVP of the video! So why is this a notch below PV? Simple: Anoushka instead of Lisa and Jamie instead of Katie. Even though this is by far Anoushka's best work to date (not that the bar was that high), she can't compare to Lisa. And even thought there is a seduction scene of the older woman by the younger (very rare and very hot), there is no scene as electric as those between Jo and Lisa. I hope -- really, really, really hope -- that Lisa makes her return in PV3. Similarly, I thought Katie lit up the screen in PV and would have loved to see more of her. While I understand that her "role" was really played by Peaches (and the Ella-Peaches scene was smoking), Katie's absence was noted and I hope she returns in PV3 as well. Still, these scratches on a Rolls Royce. PV2, like its predecessor, is an instant classic.

So, one year on, what has happened? The first obvious thing - also clear from Searching for Silvia - is that the technical skills - and the budgets - of Viv's operation have taken a big leap forward: both the camera work and the editing are on a different level than previously (you can tell this even from the stills above right, which have obvious panache). The picture quality is crystal clear: you can count every downy little hair on Jo's tummy. And the sets are a lot more substantial, and there is more acting. The second thing that has happened is that Ella has transformed from just another pretty girl into something quite spectacular. Maybe it is just the better photography and makeup, but I was stunned. Actually, all of the girls look great here. Anyway, after I had recovered from the new Ella, what did I actually think of the movie? Does it live up to PV1? The answer is a definite yes: it maybe even pushes the bar a little bit higher. Instead of Lisa we have Anoushka, who was last seen in Teenage (or Hot Babe) Seduction, playing a very implausible Mother Superior who seemed slightly startled to find a couple of her fingers embedded up to the knuckles in a novice, who was coming all over her hand. I quite liked that scene, but I was not sure whether the startled look was because she really didn't know what she was doing or not. In the interim, however, she has clearly decided that she really does like girls, and learned how they fly, because her scenes here are very nice, and absent exhibitionism and athletics (though she still has that startled look). The first scene in particular, is really as good as it gets of its type: we are supposed to be seeing Anoushka in bed with her girlfriend, played by Jamie, and that is exactly what it looks like: two women who know each other making love. Lots of eye contact and touching, and a general impression that the two know their way around each other. But the other scenes... the other scenes. The high points are between Jo and Zara, and between Jo and Ella. One particularly sweet moment is when Jo and Zara have just landed on a bed and are tearing away at each other's clothes: Jo stops, looks at Zara questioningly, and asks 'are you sure you wanna do this?' (Zara seems to be pretty sure); it is enough to prove that Jo actually can act. There is also a scene, nice, if not quite in the Jo/Zara league, with Ella and - yum yum - Peaches (there is also a charming interlude between Ella and Peaches in Hungarian, with English subtitles - admittedly, if you don't know Hungarian this may not be so striking) You will not be disappointed by this disc if you liked PV1. The down-side is no Lisa. Hopefully she will be back for part 3, though I don't, alas, imagine that Viv is planning to have Mummy go to bed with her not so little girl (the BBFC would probably object anyway).

This is a great movie but it suffers from a flaw typical of Viv Thomas, the sex never seems entirely convincing. I very rarely felt I was watching two women who were really into each other, they always seem just a bit mechanical. Not for a lack of trying though. They definitely make the effort to be convincing. This movie has some of the best kissing I’ve ever seen. Really deep and passionate and full of lips and tongues as the girls sensuously chew away at each others faces. And it goes on and on in every scene. Smokin’. There is other excellent foreplay including neck nibbling and belly kissing and leg licking. The oral is extensive and uninhibited and there is quite a bit of analingus which got to be a bit too raunchy for me. I think this is the first Viv Thomas movie I’ve seen that doesn’t have music over all the sex scenes and it is a big improvement to be able to hear the sounds of lovin’. The production quality overall is very good, the colors are great and there are a couple of scenes that look as good as film, but the camerawork and editing displayed some minor flaws here and there such as tilted horizons, some choppy editing, and harsh shadows. Though it is somewhat contrived, this and PV 1 are the least choreographed Viv Thomas movies I’ve seen. Because of the lack of a real connection between the girls and because some of the sex was too predictable and raunchy it won’t make my all time favorites list. However tons of great kissing and foreplay between beautiful women still make this a VERY GOOD movie. Rating system: AWFUL, BAD, FAIR, GOOD, VERY GOOD, EXCELLENT.

As one can imagine, following a video as successful as Pink Velvet 1 is a tough task at best. In the case of Pink Velvet 2, Viv Thomas and his brilliant production staff decided to follow-up PV1 by taking it an another direction. In PV 1, the theme was about four young women exploring the Sapphic side of their sexuality; it was all very innocent. In PV2, everything enters into a darker realm of betrayed desires. PV2 begins with Jo as an independent woman following her desires. Her desires lead her to Vera, and the result is a whirlwind romance and a sex scene which will blow your mind. Ella proves what a stud she is by bedding down the older Anoushka and the comely Peaches. Both scenes are treated with considerable humour and wanton sex. However, all Jo's and Ella's encounters are largely unfulfilling until PV2's final scene, where Ella and Jo find each other in the same bed. Returning to the theme of innocent love from PV1, Jo and Ella's scene is filled with raw desire and sexual energy which must be seen to be believed. PV2 is a transitory piece in the trilogy, so if it leaves one somewhat unsatisfied, it's understandable; PV2 is a bridge for much greater things to come. Given the success that Viv Thomas has had with videos that have followed PV2 (Many released only in the UK.), PV2 is a strong segue to PV3.

I thought Pink Velvet 2 was of great quality and the girls were great looking. The clarity of the video was superior. Fantastic kissing all over, fingering, and eating pussy. The sound was good, you could here the girls and their music they made together, which was great. The only complaint I have is there was no trib (not even 10 minutes or so) for the price you pay for this DVD? They should have good pussy grinding for that price! I never saw PV1, but the reviews said the music drowned out the girls sounds. That sucks too! Anyways, I would give this DVD an 8. Maybe #3 will have a lot of trib!

Omg!! I loved this DDVD! It is absolutely wonderful! Starting with the delicious setup in a great Mediterranean beach, I really was into it. The girls were fantastic. Jo, stunningly beautiful, whatta body!! Vera, very nice girl, mmmmmm! Peaches, Oh lord where did this innocent gorgeous girl come from?!, she was so convincing playing the innocent girl! Ella, wow o wow o wow! She did great as a seductive goddess, beautiful eyes and hair! The girls look so natural. I have complaints about Anoushka The lady with blonde hair, she didn’t do it for me! This is an excellent lesbian movie, no question about it. I wont explain to you how it is because we all know how Viv Thomas videos are, not to mention those terrific girls from east Europe. But if you think you're going to see something of Pink Velvet 1 level... hmm... I don't know. PV1 is hard to improve, even to match. Let me put it this way: once you drive a Ferrari any other car will feel like a Geo Metro, even a Mercedes. Still a very good movie though, but without that highly erotic atmosphere of PV1. I recommend this movie anyway.

This is a short review: Pink Velvet 1, excellent... Pink Velvet 2, excellent. Great locals, beautiful/exotic women, including Anoushka!! Passion, seduction, no overbearing music and great camera work. I'm sure there will be some nit-picking on this movie but all in all as close to perfect (for me) as one can get. Great job Viv Thomas! I recently saw PV2 and to my surprise it was even better than PV1!!!! Peaches (especially) and Vera were great additions and so was Anoushka! (I personally think she is even more hot than Lisa, and unlike all her previous girl/girl scenes which they had no passion, in this one you can see she is clearly into girls-and that alone is a turn on). AND FINALLY SOME WORDS TO VIV THOMAS: First of all I feel the need to THANK YOU for giving to us these masterpieces. And secondly, I want to ask you something that IAM CERTAIN THAT ALMOST EVERYONE WILL AGREE WITH ME: In PV3 wouldn’t it be nice to ADD the girls of 1 and 2 and make a double DVD with all the girls and at least 7-8 scenes? I do not think that anyone of your fans would mind to pay 10 or 20$ more and wait a few months more for that movie to get ready!! It would be a dream ending for a dream trilogy. Mmmm...this is like a dessert that's so rich, you can hardly eat it, yet you can't stop eating. You have to take it in small doses or you may get sick. I think PV2 is just as good or maybe even better than PV1 for the following reasons: The background score has been toned down to where it should be - in the background setting a mood. Film can only present in two senses - sight and sound. Why would anyone want to deprive us of such a crucial element as sound? Do you put in earplugs when you make love? Then why should adult video ever have sound drowning out the natural sounds of the lovemaking? There is only one answer - if you're really trying to make art, not porn. Blake can get away with it, because of the stylized fantasy nature of his sequences, but Viv knows the value of realism, at least his realism. Of course, all the girls here are immaculate, and Jo looks as radiant and into other girls as she ever has. The lighting is clear, the cinematography is sharp, and well composed, (unlike Jo's Secret Diaries, which also has natural sound) the costumes are color designed with the sets, the settings are exotic and sensuous, and the sex - pure lesbian voyeurism. Classic Viv. Hats off again to his entire crew for their unparalleled dedication to quality in all respects. For those of you that complain that it looks fake sometimes - reality check - think about it - he puts the most beautiful girls together in the most beautiful locations, with gorgeous clothes and makeup, and they have sex according to well thought out action that caters to our specific tastes here at LLV. How can that not be a little fake? These girls deliver with passion and realism if you ask me, and I'm a film student. This is not amateur video. They are playing into the fantasy with us. All I can say is - don't ever change Viv. No criticism except that I wish the sound was on a different track so I could just shut it off completely sometimes. Recommended? No explanation necessary. Buy this video or kick yourself three times a day. Grade: A++

Why?! Why Anoushka?! I'm sorry if I'm being a perfectionist, but that woman does not belong in a porn movie, let alone one of this calibre. And in, not one, but TWO of the five scenes! I'm sorry, but she had wrinkles, her hair (if it was even hers) was awful, and well, I tried to stick with it for a few minutes (esp. since I paid £30 for the privilege), but in the end I just had to forward the first two scenes. Oh, woe is me... (Note: this woman isn’t shown in the movie stills, or on the cover of the DVD for a good reason!) The third scene, with Jo and Vera was much more to my taste. And the fourth scene - OMG!!! Just when I thought I’d wasted my money, this comes along. The build-up wasn’t exactly Oscar-winning, but it did the job of creating the right atmosphere. Peaches played the part of the innocent and unwilling babe, seduced by the ultra-hot Ella. Slowly, Ella breaks her resistance, then before you know it Peaches is loving every minute of it. The ‘action’ wasn’t very explicit by any means, but it was performed exceptionally well by both girls. They made you feel like this was their moment, and brought you right in there with them. By my high standards, this scene got a 9.5/10, which makes it nigh on perfect. Maybe if the girls passionately embraced each other at some point, or if Peaches had put that finger in her mouth. The last scene I can’t really comment on, as my mind was still on the previous scene. Anyway, I don’t intend on purchasing PV3 if Anoushka is in it, simple as that. We pay too much to get someone that looks like her. I say bring Katie back and get Lisa to show her how to use a tongue! The girls

The theme of losing innocence, while good, limited the overall dynamics of the film - I'm not afraid, and don't be shy... and then doing it. The scene with Jo and Vera, (I think) at the beach was EXTREMELY AROUSING, it gave me goose-bumps. The Jo and Ella scene also worth the price of admission. The other scenes were also excellent, but I think designed more to carry the theme? It's an artistic approach yet I think - diminished the natural beauty of the girls. They are very gorgeous! They could have used more colors and silky textures, and light touches of the sort. Perhaps the next film in the series will be that much more notoriously arousing. Buy this DVD and you'll agree -Viv Thomas is where the best action is.

I finally watched all of the scenes in PV2 (you certainly get your money's worth). As others have said, this is excellent, a real keeper. I agree that it is slick and stylized. However, this effect is muted by the fact that each scene contains dialog. I noted, however, that the dialog tends to precede the sex; once the sex starts, for the most part the talking stops. A bit more dialog during the sex would enhance an already fine production. I enjoyed all the scenes and all the actresses. I did not have the problems with Anoushka that so many other reviewers had. Peaches is such a cutie. I loved her scene with Ella and wished she was in more than one scene. I must say, though, I didn't think the part where she straddles Ella's back and fingers her ass was necessary or natural. I felt this part was put in to appeal to viewers who place a premium on anal play. Likewise, analingus shows up often enough in PV2 as to suggest that Viv Thomas saw it as a must have. In all, PV2 provides great-looking girls having good sex without toys. There is a certain staged artificiality to it, but PV2 is not billed as an amateur production. Rather, it is a well-crafted effort that touches many of the elements that amateur lovers here at LLV look for.

I am extremely glad that I ordered PV2. I'm not an expert on Lesbian videos, but I know what I like and PV2 was awesome. I haven't seen PV1 yet, but I guess I need to so I can see what the fuss is about in regard to Lisa. I loved the fact that there were no dildos or toys in the video. Just great Kissing, fingering and licking. Also, I agree with Lotus about not having music over the sex scenes. It is MUCH better when there is no music and all you can hear is the sounds of "Lovin" as Lotus put it. So keep that in mind for future videos. No music. Just mind blowing lesbian sex.

I was really excited to get this DVD for my girlfriend and I after reading all these reviews. My girlfriend of 2 years has a history of bisexuality and we thought this might spice things up. Before I make my comments I want to say that she hasn’t seen it yet but I will write her review up here when she has tomorrow! I was personally kinda disappointed especially for the $50 paid. For me and from what she has said about the topic, I found that there was to much anal attention in this film. Maybe I am not accustomed to the lesbian life style though. I have no idea. I also found the "acting" cheesy at times. Yes its porn so what do you expect but I have seen better floating around the internet. I also felt that there was too much vaginal and anal close ups. I know that I was buying this film for my girlfriend because lesbian kissing, touching, etc, is a turn on for her but at the same time she doesn’t want to be starring down some wet vagina. I am writing this review as a straight guy so take that in to account please. The film was classy and you could hear the females moaning which I am sure my girlfriend will like. Lots of kissing and foreplay which my girlfriend will also appreciate. I busted out with laughter a couple times but it’s porn. I guess it wasn’t that bad but after all the hype I heard about this DVD on this site I was disappointed. I would give the film a solid B but definetly no more but then again I don’t watch porn but once in a blue moon. Thanks lezlove for the video as I do like it but I think it could have been better. Again, I agree mostly with Lotus. I think we share very similar tastes. I loved this movie, the women are gorgeous and the sex was steamy but it did not make my A+ list because it lacked that spontaneity and raw passion that takes me over the edge when I watch a hot movie. Was it juts me or did almost every sex scene follow the exact same pattern. It is hard for anyone to criticize Viv's work, it is so much better than 90% of the lesbian filmmaking so I'll simply make a suggestion, vary the intensity and the range of sex in the scene. And find women who "lose control" around other hot women, who dominate a submissive partner, etc. And, just for my own tastes, real looking women, as opposed to models, are what really turn me on, e.g., Lena Ramone (Women Seeking Women). Put some of Abby's women in a Viv plot with Viv’s filmmaking and WOW. All that said, still a movie very much worth owning, B+ to A-.

An impressive follow-up to Pink Velvet, if not quite it's equal. The cast is uniformly great, and while Anoushka may not be as young or attractive as some of the other women, I think she does a fine job. In fact, her two scenes, with Jamie (drop dead gorgeous) and Ella (wonderful older/younger pairing) are very enjoyable. And things only get better. There's some beautiful and tender moments when Jo and Ella get together, they make a great couple. It's hard to find flaws with the film, when it is so far above 99% of the other movies out there. Perhaps there could have been a little more oral, or at least a few more close-ups. I appreciated the fact that the film had a story, though it perhaps could have been a little better. It didn't pull me in the way PV1 did. Women - 5/5

This was not convincing lesbian porn at all. A bunch of lipstick lesbian eye candy mouthing stilted English - yukk. You people cannot ever have seen any real lesbian porn to be so fawningly impressed by this glossy garbage.

I just saw this one for the first time and I found it quite enjoyable. It had all the elements of a good lesbian flick such as the kissing, body contact, passion, tongues instead of toys, and beautiful women. There was even some eye contact between the girls which is very arousing. I wish that more lesbian videos would have this. Some of the girls did have a bit of trouble maintaining the eye contact with each other, however. The oral sex was well done and there was some "anal" stuff thrown in, which many don't seem to like but I thought it was nice and kinky. The kissing was quite good all around, although I wish that the camera wouldn't cut to a far angle as they were kissing. It frustrates more than anything. Still, it was very well done and very passionate for the most part. There are still many elements that I would like to see in a lesbian video but this is a very good film. I have my criteria but this style seems to appeal to most and I can definitely understand its appeal.

Hi, this is more than just a film review... I'm a heterosexual guy at the end of a failed marriage - partly because absolutely no visual stimuli turn me on anymore. Thank you LezLoveVideo for coming into my life just when I thought it was all over!!! You can be sure that I will be buying a DVD of every single Viv Thomas film in the coming months. And would you believe? Nobody paid me to write this either. I'm just damned impressed!!!!!!!!

This installment of the trilogy I did not find to be as good as the first. It was an above-average release, and is definitely better than most of the crap that comes out these days, but it still could have been better. The plot is a plus, of course, and the beauty of most of the women also gets high marks, except Anoushka. She was fine with her scene with Ella, but I could not stand the look of her hair in her scene with Jamie. Plus, I also did not find that scene to have much passion in it. Jo/Vera never disappoints, Ella/Anoushka was a good scene. A pic on the back of the box shows Ella riding Anoushka's face, but that scene was not in the DVD. That disappointed me, because I really like face-sitting scenes. I will also give marks for the hesitancy of Anoushka to allow herself to be seduced by a young girl, and it was pulled off convincingly. I would have liked to see more oral with the Ella/Peaches and Ella/Jo scenes. The Ella/Jo scene I thought was disappointing when compared to the scene they did together in Young Lesbian Love. It was a scorcher, but this scene seemed to have a little less passion to it. It was still a good scene, but my expectations were set quite high for it and it did not meet them. Plus most of the scenes seemed short compared to the scenes in the first one. Also, I missed Katie, so that is a negative. All griping aside, this was a great DVD. But as I said, I believe the first was better, and despite the fact I have not scene all of PV3 yet, I believe it will leave both of its predecessors in the dust.

Having seen all three Pink Velvet movies, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is the best one. PV1 was good, but more interesting to me for its potential than the actual movie. PV3 may have better production values (particularly the shot on film scenes) and overall more fluid sex scenes, but PV2 has a much sexier vibe. The reason for this is that there was more buildup for each sex scene. Still not enough, in my opinion, but more. In particular, I enjoyed Ella as the seductress in her scenes with Anoushka and Peaches. The hesitation of Anoushka and Peaches was very sexy. I also liked the tenderness of the scenes with Jo / Vera and Ella / Jo. My favorite scene was definitely Ella / Jo. It was beautifully shot and the kissing was amazing. There was something very sweet and tender in this scene which I found missing in Jo’s scene with Lisa in PV3. I appreciated Viv’s attempt to put some emotion into this scene via the flashback sequence that ends with Jo asking Ella to kiss her. I want to see this taken even further with more dialogue to drive home the fact that these two women are falling in love with each other. Viv’s movies are somewhat frustrating for me, because I think that they would be so much hotter if they had more realistic stories and more dialogue. I’m finding that Viv’s movies that are done documentary style or set in the porn industry, such as “Confessions of the Makeup Artist” and “Pussy in Paradise,” really don’t do it for me. I want to see Viv make a movie set in a world where lesbianism is not the norm (you know, like the real world) and where the characters are taking huge risks by having sex with each other. For instance, in the movie I’d like to see, Anoushka would be a very proper-looking married woman. Maybe she would be a college professor and having a secret affair with one of her female students. Ella would discover the affair and blackmail Anoushka into sleeping with her. Anyway, this movie is pretty good. If you don’t have any of the Pink Velvet series, I would recommend starting with this one.

Is this the best “adult film” ever? I’ve never seen better. Nothing else I know combines this much beauty — of the women, the settings, the camera work, etc. — with this much heat. If I could own only one piece of erotica, this would be it. Specifics: Yes, it’s 100% toy-free, which is nice, even though I don’t mind some use of toys, as long as it’s part of an authentic emotional interaction, and not a substitute or way of avoiding one. The overall style is very much that of PV1, i.e., not aimed at male viewers, as the Sandy films so often were. Instead, we have a series of more genuinely intimate encounters with some romantic overtones, tons of deep and prolonged kissing, and appropriate music (not loud and dopey disco trash). There’s a nice mix of pairings: neither Jo nor Ella in every scene. Two (first and last) feature dimmer, more natural lighting that really enhances the mood. At more than 2 ½ hours, every second of which is a pleasure to watch, this is a terrific bargain.

This is my favourite "adult movie" of all time. It is simply amazing. This film would even cross over into my mainstream favourite film top 10, lol. No, this is great. Favorite scenes being: Jo and Vera (wow), Ella and Peaches (amazing), Jo and Ella (beautiful). Even though I’m not really interested in the older-younger thing, and Anoushka and Jamie don't really interest me, they still perform some really great scenes. I give this film 11/10, lol. Thank you, Mr. Thomas.

Best scene = Vera and Jo I'd say this was marginally better than Pink Velvet 01 for two reasons: 1) I found the girls on the whole were slightly more attractive (Ella looks better here, though I'm still not a huge fan, plus Dora's gone). 2) The buildup to each scene was a little more effective, I thought. Impressive sequel, though, again, not quite 5-stars for me. Overall = 4/5
